In the cup this weekend Maccabi had delight and despair in their two semi-finals, winning through AET in the AFA Saturday competition but losing out in a thriller to Middlessex Wanderers 4-3 in the Middlex County Sunday Vets Cup.

In the Invitational Cup semi final 1st leg Interwood and Hadley drew 1-1, leaving the tie firmly in the balance. And there was great news for Waltham Forest as a hard fought 2-1 win saw them progress to the Essex Cup Final, so congratulations to them.

Once again the weather was the real winner with just the one league game beating the deluge.

Lots of cup action this week. Salvatorians beat Rayners Lane 4-0, Maccabi overcame a spirited Latymer side 5-0 while Interwood claimed a 1-0 win over Garston. The semi-final line up will be completed next Sunday when Hadley entertain Rickmansworth. Congrats too to Waltham Forest who are into the Essex Cup semi-finals after a fine 4-1 win today.
